Horst Jäger (politician, 1926)

Horst Jäger (born June 21, 1926 in Groß Quenstedt ; † January 7, 1981 ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school and graduating from high school , Horst Jäger studied law and political science at the universities of Berlin and Cologne. In 1954 Jäger passed the first and in 1958 the second state examination in law. He then worked as a public prosecutor . From July 1968 to January 1981 Jäger was police chief in Düsseldorf .

MP

From July 24, 1966 to July 5, 1968, Jäger was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 027 Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis I and left during the legislative period.

He was a member of the municipal council of the city of Porz from 1961.
