Horst Lehmann (soccer player)

Horst Lehmann (born August 2, 1929 ) is a former German soccer player. In the top division of GDR football , the Oberliga , he played for the SC activist Brieske-Senftenberg and the predecessor communities of the sports club founded in 1954 .

Athletic career

The midfielder was on the ball for the eleven from Niederlausitz in twelve seasons, including the transition round, of the East German football club. Only Horst Franke, who was also born in 1929 (294 appearances), was more often on the field for Brieske (Senftenberg) in the GDR elite division as Lehmann. In his 266 league appearances he scored a total of 22 goals for the GDR runner-up in 1956.
