Horst Peters (speaker)

Horst Peters (born February 1, 1947 - March 7, 2019 ) was a German speaker, reciter and actor.

Life

He received speaking and acting lessons from radio play directors and speakers in Bremen for over five years, which also included early involvement in sound productions of all kinds, while he also learned the profession of banker. He then worked for a number of years in the military, where, among other things, he obtained further educational qualifications and completed training in special psychology. As part of his psychological work there, he was also active in the recording studio as a speaker, editor, dramaturge and director, and he was also able to complete several months of stage training.

With the sound engineer Frank Worbs, he founded the internationally recognized and active sound carrier label " Sound Star-Ton ". Under the officially registered artist name “Pit van Bergen” he works as a production manager, dramaturge, editor and director. Countless special productions in the music and audio book sector were created. Frank Worbs and Horst Peters received several record awards as producers and for the special original sound. As a reciter, Horst Peters was awarded a “recommendable recording” for his Wolfgang Borchert recording “ Voices are there in the air in the night” as part of the German Record Prize, the specialist newspapers celebrated him as “Fellini for the ears” and his work was among others with Nice compared, there were reports about him in New York too.

TV producer for Horst Peters was Michael Schrader / AVA-Medien in Duisburg, where numerous picture / film and TV productions were made. Peters has an employee contract as a freelancer at ZDF as well as co-producers / employee contracts at other ARD stations .

With over 50 literary programs, Horst Peters was connected to his audience with live performances in Germany and other German-speaking countries. He has also performed with live musicians, recently with international performers such as the pianists Elena Camarena (Mexico) and Einar Steen-Nökleberg (Oslo) or the flautist Klaus-Peter Riemer . He recorded many audio books for German-learning students abroad, including the complete short stories by Gudrun Pausewang .

His voice is also known to interested listeners through radio and TV. The audio books can be heard through the Tonträger-Verlag at the Kultur-Rundfunk / TV-Anstalten, the music productions also internationally. There were also co-productions with many cultural broadcasters / TV companies in Germany and Europe. Horst Peters and Frank Worbs have often also volunteered in schools, in youth and elderly work in matters of culture and education, for which they have already been recognized several times.
