Horst Tempelmeier
Horst Tempelmeier (* 1952 in Lübbecke ) is a German logistics scientist . He is the director of the seminar for general business administration , supply chain management and production at the University of Cologne .
Life
In 1970 Tempelmeier passed his Abitur. After professorships at the TH Darmstadt and the Technical University of Braunschweig , he has held a professorship for production management at the University of Cologne since 1993 (predecessor: Werner Kern ). His main research interests are production planning and control as well as the design of production systems , especially for flexible manufacturing and flow production .
Tempelmeier is a member of the Society for Operations Research and the Production and Operations Management Society .
