Hotel Bossa Nova is a jazz band from Wiesbaden, Germany .

history

Hotel Bossa Nova was founded in Wiesbaden in 2005 by Liza da Costa (vocals), Tilmann Höhn (guitar), Alexander Sonntag (double bass) and Wolfgang Stamm (drums, percussion). Their music is known as world jazz and is a mixture of bossa nova , jazz , fado , samba , European, African and Latin American rhythms and structures.

Seven albums have been released since 2006: Ao Vivo and Supresa on the Homefamily label, Bossanomia , Na Meia Luz , Desordem & Progresso , Little Fish and Live at Das Rind on ENJA -yellowbird Records.

The band performed at the following festivals: Dresden Jazz Festival, Leverkusener Jazztage, Festival da Jazz (St. Moritz), Kemptener Jazzfrühling, Mainz Jazztage, Mosel Music Festival, Kulturufer Friedrichshafen, Flensburg Court Concerts, Jazz in the Ministergärten (Berlin).
