Liza da Costa (born March 26, 1968 ) is a singer and composer born in Germany as the daughter of a Portuguese and an Indian who grew up in Rüsselsheim , Germany.

Life

Liza da Costa is the singer and composer of the Hotel Bossa Nova jazz quartet . With Hotel Bossa Nova she had seven album releases from 2006 to 2019. From 1995 to 1998 she was also a member of the Eurodance band Captain Jack , with whom she had appeared on two albums. In 2000 she had her own single release on Virgin Records with Banana Coco . She worked with various artists and producers, composed the title song Fight to Win for the RTL Four Hills Tournament 2000/2001 and sang the song Ocean of Eternity for the techno duo Future Breeze . In 2005 she founded the band Hotel Bossa Nova with Tilmann Höhn (guitar), Alexander Sonntag (bass) and Wolfgang Stamm (drums) , which plays a mixture of bossa nova and jazz , known as Brazilian jazz.
