Tilmann Höhn (born January 20, 1964 in Wiesbaden ) is a German guitarist and composer .

Life

Höhn grew up in Wiesbaden. In his youth he was a successful athlete who held the German record in the M14 age group in the 100 meter sprint. In 1978 he was the German school master and multiple Hessen master. After graduating from high school, he studied business administration in Frankfurt. Höhn is married to the author Uta Reimann-Höhn and has two adult sons.

Höhn has been playing guitar since he was 14 and is known as a jazz guitarist, acoustic guitarist, blues guitarist, electric guitarist, studio Bossanova pop solo duo trio guitarist. He played and plays with the Frankfurt City Blues Band , the Wiesbaden NuJazz band Hotel Bossa Nova , Simple Songs, the Nightbirds, Voyage de Sud, Vibes, Circle Games-The music of Joni Mitchell and BON. He had appearances with guitar colleagues such as John Stowell , Claus Boesser-Ferrari , Ali Neander, Kosho , David Becker and Frank Haunschild .

Among other things, he accompanied the Canadian Grammy winner Alannah Myles , the soprano Eva Lind , the author Wolfgang Weinrich, the cabaret artist Lars Reichow and the Zambian singer Yvonne Mwale . He composes film scores - for example for the film Make up! . He works as a studio and live guitarist on CD, TV, dance and jingle productions. In addition to electric, nylon and western guitars, his instruments also include fretless guitars, an 8-string concert guitar, baritone guitars, requionto and third guitars and the aliquot guitar.
