Jean-Jacques Schilt

Jean-Jacques Schilt (born June 23, 1943 in Lausanne ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Schilt studied at the University of Lausanne and taught from 1968 to 1985 at the "Collège de l'Élysée". In 1972 he joined the Social Democratic Party . From 1978 to 1985 Schilt sat on the municipal council ( legislative ) and from 1985 to 1998 on the city council ( executive ) of Lausanne . He was then elected Mayor of Lausanne and held office from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 2001.
