Paul Rosset
Paul Rosset (born July 1, 1872 in Lausanne , † March 4, 1954 there , entitled to live in Cerniaz ) was a Swiss politician ( LPS ).
biography
Rosset studied architecture at the ETH Zurich and graduated in 1893. He worked as an architect in Fleurier , Montreux and Lausanne .
From 1910 to 1929 he was on the municipal council of Lausanne, and from 1924 to 1929 city president . In 1929 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud and had a seat there until 1933.
He is the initiator of the Comptoir vaudois d'échantillons from 1916, which was later renamed Comptoir suisse and still exists today. Together with Otto Schmid , he built the galeries du Commerce in Lausanne from 1908 and 1909 and was involved in the renovation of Chillon Castle .
