André Schnetzler

André Schnetzler (born May 4, 1855 in Vevey , † June 19, 1911 in Salvan ) was a Swiss politician .

The son of Jean Balthasar Schnetzler studied law in Lausanne , Leipzig and Paris . He then worked as a lawyer , examining magistrate and private lecturer at the University of Lausanne . From 1888 to 1901 he was a liberal councilor in Lausanne. In 1904 he was elected to the city council and was responsible for the school system. He held the office of city president from July 20, 1907 to December 31, 1910. He was also a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud from 1896 to 1911 .
