The Hotel Forelle is a listed hotel in the town of Thale in the village of Treseburg in the Harz Mountains in Saxony-Anhalt .

The building is located in the center of Treseburg at the address Ortsstraße 28 directly on the banks of the Bode .

Architecture and history

The history of the house goes back to the end of the 18th century when it was built as an inn. Around the end of the 19th century, a renovation took place, and now guest rooms were also offered. In 1920 further renovation work was carried out in half-timbered construction , which gave the family-run house its present form. At that time the hotel had two houses. The so-called tourism house was located in the area now used as a parking lot. The current hotel building was operated as a house with high standards, in which diplomats from Great Britain and Scandinavia also spent their holidays.

During the GDR era , the building served as a company rest home. In 1991 it was acquired by the Nuremberg family and has since been run as a family-run hotel again.

In the local register of monuments , the hotel is listed under registration number 094 00540 as a monument .
