The Hotel Monopol (formerly: Haus Monopol , is also called "the pearl of Lower Silesia" ) is a 5-star superior hotel in the center of Wroclaw . It is located on the former Agnes-Sorma-Strasse (today: ul. Heleny Modrzejewskiej ) at the corner of Schweidnitzer Strasse (today: ul. Świdnicka) about 450 meters south of the Great Ring .

history

The hotel was built from 1891 to 1892 in neo-baroque style. The architect was Karl Grosser . Since 1984 the building is listed as a protected monument . The facade of the hotel was renovated in 2008.

The hotel has two restaurants. One specializes in Polish dishes , the other mainly serves Mediterranean dishes .
