The Hourihan Glacier is a glacier in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the Britannia Range, it flows from the southern slopes of Ward Tower in a south-easterly direction to the Merrick Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000 after Joseph John Hourihan (1902-1984) of the United States Navy , captain of the USS Merrick in the US operation Highjump (1946-1947).
