Hovdeneset (Norwegian for hill nose , Japanese ラ ン グ ホ ブ デ 北 Langhovde-kita-misaki , German 'Langhovdenordspitze' ) is a headland on the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . On the east bank of the Lützow-Holm Bay , it forms the northern end of the Langhovde group of hills .
Participants in a Japanese Antarctic expedition conducted from 1957 to 1962 surveyed the headland and named it. Norwegian cartographers translated this name into Norwegian. In the English-speaking world, it is known as Langhovde-kita Point .
