How Beck is a river in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . How Beck is being built at Greencove Wyke on Sca Fell , southwest of the summit of Scafell Pike . The river initially flows in an easterly direction and then joins an unnamed tributary, which is fed , among other things, from the outflow of the Foxes Tarn . The How Beck then turns to the southeast. At times it falls as a multi-level waterfall down the mountainside and flows into the River Esk .
