Howard Gottfried
Howard Gottfried (born November 13, 1923 in New York City - † December 8, 2017 in Los Angeles ) was an American film producer .
Life
Gottfried initially worked as a lawyer and was active in the 1950s and 1960s as a producer of off-Broadway theater pieces. At the beginning of the 1970s, he expanded his activities to include the film sector. His first film was Hospital (1971). Up to and including 1991, six other productions were made.
For Network , Gottfried was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Film in 1977 . At the Independent Spirit Awards 1989 he was nominated for The Cuckoo's Egg in the category of best film.
