Howard Roffman (born April 18, 1953 in Philadelphia , USA ) is an American nude photographer and lawyer .

Life

Roffman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania . In 1977 he completed a law degree at the University of Florida (College of Law). He gained his first experience as a lawyer at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit . He worked for the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Washington DC. In 1980 he accepted a position as a legal advisor with the film production company Lucasfilm . After several career stages, he was finally promoted to Deputy President of Lucasfilm in 1986 .

Roffman lives in San Francisco . He treats his career as a nude photographer as a hobby. He basically produces male nudes. His first pictures appeared in 1991 as postcards and calendars with homoerotic motifs. He later published several photo albums with gay actors. He finds his models mainly in public places: on the street, in restaurants, in discos. He has long-term business contacts with the Bruno Gmünder Verlag in Berlin . His models also come from Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia .

In 1999 he became president of Lucas Licensing , a subsidiary of Lucasfilm which is responsible for the licensing and marketing of such films as Star Wars and the Indiana Jones series.
