The rock area Hruboskalské Skalní město (German: Groß-Skaler Felsenstadt ) is located in the northeast of the Bohemian Paradise south of the Turnov - Jičín road ( E 442 ) near Hrubá Skála .

The rocks form the edge rocks northeast of Trosky Castle . They are a mighty sandstone belt south and south-east of Turnov between the Valdštejn Castle and the Hrubá Skála Castle . The most important place is Sedmihorky , which lies below the rocks, with the spa founded in 1841.

The 219 hectare area has been a nature reserve since 1998 . It is a popular recreational area with climbers and hikers. The most famous rock formations are the dragon rocks, the baton, the lighthouse and the bandmaster.
