Huang Huahua

Huang Huahua ( Chinese  黄华华 ; * 1946 in Xingning , Guangdong Province ) is a politician in the People's Republic of China .

Huang joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1971 . He received his doctorate from their party school and from Sun Yat-sen University . He spent his entire career in his home province, where he was Mayor of Meizhou from 1988 to 1992 and from 1998 to 2002 party secretary of the Communist Party in Guangzhou .

From 2003 to November 2011, Huang was the governor of Guangdong Province . His previous deputy, Zhu Xiaodan, succeeded him .

He was or is a member of the 16th and 17th party congresses . Since November 2011 he has been the vice-chairman of the Committee for Chinese Abroad Affairs of the National People's Congress .
