The Huber SE is a global company in the field of environmental technology, headquartered in Berching in the Upper Palatinate , Bavaria. It is mainly active in the areas of water treatment , wastewater treatment and sludge treatment and supplies systems and equipment made of stainless steel.
The company develops and manufactures products, plans and creates system solutions for municipalities and industry . With more than 35,000 installed systems as well as more than 20 subsidiaries and many other representative offices, Huber is one of the internationally important companies in the industry.
The Huber Group employs more than 1200 people in around 60 countries, of which around 700 are employed at the headquarters in Berching-Erasbach.
history
The company's history goes back to a coppersmith's business that had existed since 1834 and into which Johann Huber married in 1872. At that time, the coppersmiths manufactured containers and systems for breweries and food companies . Around 1900 production was first switched from copper products to steel, and in 1940 stainless steel was used for the first time .
In 1908 Hans Huber sen. management, followed in 1948 by Josef Huber. In 1967 the brothers Hans Georg Huber and Karl-Josef Huber took over the management . Under her leadership, the business areas that have been worked on to this day have been developed and expanded.
In 1993 the production units were relocated to the Berching district of Erasbach. In 2003, the name of Hans Huber GmbH was changed to Hans Huber AG and the administrative organizational units were relocated to Erasbach.
In 2005, the Huber Technology Prize was donated for the first time by Hans Huber AG. The award is given every 2 years.
In 2009 Hans Huber AG was renamed Huber SE .
The previous board members Hans Georg Huber and Karl-Josef Huber switched to the supervisory board in 2010 . Georg Huber became the new CEO.

Locations
Until 2003, the company headquarters was still near the old town of Berching . The company's production was relocated to the Berching district of Erasbach in 1993, and since August 2003 the administrative organizational units of Huber SE have also been located in Erasbach. In addition to Europe, there are other locations in North and South America, Africa, Asia and Australia.
