The Hubert Burda Media Tower , also known as the Burda high-rise , is a 67-meter-high administration building and the headquarters of the media group Hubert Burda Media in Offenburg . The slim skyscraper is the tallest skyscraper in the city and is one of its landmarks . In the years 2002–2004 the house was completely renovated and redesigned.
description
The building was completely gutted and completely renovated in the early 2000s. The rededication was celebrated on September 20, 2004. During this renovation, the building was given two outwardly cantilevered double-shell glass facades, which created an additional interior space and enabled natural window and room ventilation. The side facades are clad with metal panels. The outer facade measures 2700 square meters and consists of anodized sheet metal. The steel facade is heated.
The top floor was also fundamentally redesigned. Instead of the company logo above the old roof edge, the house was given a glazed conference area with a slightly arched roof. This measure also increased the total height of the Hubert Burda Media Tower from originally around 64 to 67 meters. The renovation was designed by the architects Ingenhoven Overdiek und Partner from Düsseldorf .
