Hubert Deuringer

Hubert Deuringer (born January 18, 1924 in Empfingen ; † June 16, 2014 there ) was a German music teacher, arranger and orchestra conductor .

In 1945 Hubert Deuringer started as an accordionist with “Radio Stuttgart”. In 1947 he switched to the newly founded Südwestfunk (SWF) in Baden-Baden and a year later he was leading the SWF's dance string orchestra.

From 1951 Hubert Deuringer was taken under contract. This was followed by recordings with Odeon and later he got exclusive contracts with Teldec, Polydor and Herkules-Records. Hubert Deuringer was seen as a soloist and orchestra conductor in numerous television programs in the 1950s and 1960s.

Afterwards he conducted the radio orchestra of the SWF (today SWR ) and was a lecturer in accordion style and improvisation at the Hohner Conservatory in Trossingen . In 1964 he received the Hermann Schittenhelm Medal for his services to folk music (Schittenhelm was the founder of the First Harmonica Orchestra in 1927).
