Hubert Ganzera

Hubert Ganzera (born October 15, 1952 ) is a former German soccer player who was GDR soccer champion with Dynamo Dresden in 1971 .

Athletic career

When Dynamo Dresden became East German champion in 1971, 18-year-old Hubert Ganzera was involved in the success with a 25-minute mission. On April 9, 1971, he was substituted on for defender Joachim Kern in the 65th minute of the match on the 18th matchday between Dynamo Dresden and BFC Dynamo (2-1) , and was on the field with his older brother Frank Ganzera . Hubert Ganzera did not complete any other league appearances, as coach Walter Fritzsch preferred the defensive players Hans-Jürgen Dörner and Udo Schmuck , who were about the same age .

Before that, Ganzera had already played with the 2nd team in the second-rate GDR league . At the end of the season he was there in 24 of 30 league games and scored one goal. He was then only used in the 2nd team. After 17 GDR league games in the 1971/72 season, he played only one game in the GDR league in the following season, after which he had to do an 18-month military service in the National People's Army . After his release, Ganzera played his last season in higher-class football in 1974/75 with eleven appearances for Dynamo Dresden II in the GDR league. He succeeded in another goal.

In his footballer career, he had come in addition to his short league league game, 53 GDR league games and two goals. He then played for Stahl Freital in the Dresden District Football League .
