Hubert Hammers
Hubert (Bub) Hammers (born February 19, 1925 in Herzogenrath - Kohlscheid ; † March 19, 2012 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).
Hubert Hammers was an electrician and ran his own company.
Hubert Hammers was a member of the city council of Herzogenrath from 1979 to 2007. Here he was u. a. Chairman of the Construction and Transport Committee.
In addition to his political commitment, he was closely associated with the football club Kohlscheider BC until his death . He was first chairman from 1969 to 1993. After his retirement he was made honorary chairman.
From 1981 to 1988 he was also on the supervisory board of the former Volksbank Kohlscheid eV.
Hubert Hammers was honored for his services in 1986 with the Federal Republic of Germany's Medal of Merit and in 1992 with the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany. In 1993 he received the DFB badge . The city of Herzogenrath also honored him in 2000 with the city's ring of honor.
