Hubert Schmidt (born December 25, 1910 in Fröndenberg / Ruhr ; † August 13, 1989 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Schmidt attended elementary school and secondary school, studied language in France , completed his training as a businessman and then worked as a self-employed industrial clerk.

Schmidt joined the CDU in 1946, where he was chairman of the local political association in the Unna district from 1952 to 1966 . In 1948 he moved into the Fröndenberg city council, from 1948 to 1952 and again from 1956 to 1964 he was mayor of the city. In 1952 he became a member of the district council, in which he was elected deputy district administrator in 1964. From 1953 to 1977 he was also a member of the Westphalia-Lippe Landscape Assembly . For a short time he also sat in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia : on April 27, 1970, he moved up to parliament; on July 25, 1970 it was dissolved.
