Christoph Bertschy (born April 5, 1994 in Le Mouret ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with Lausanne HC in the Swiss National League since the 2018/19 season .
Career
In his youth, Christoph Bertschy, who plays the winger, first played for ENB SenSee in Düdingen . When he was a mosquito, he moved to the youth division of Friborg-Gottéron , and then as a junior player to SC Bern . In the jersey of the city of Bern, he played for both the Elite Novices and the Elite A-Juniors. During the 2011/12 season , the attacker shooting right completed his first NLA missions for SC Bern. He finished his debut season with 18 points scorer , especially in qualifying he was one of the new discoveries of the season with 16 points in 31 matches. Following this season, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2012 in the sixth round at a total of 158th position by the Minnesota Wild .
He had a contract with SC Bern until the end of the 2014/15 season, which he fulfilled. He then signed an entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild, who initially used him mainly on their farm team , the Iowa Wild from the American Hockey League . In the Iowa Wild he was used in the first two rows and was also given a lot of time in overpowering situations.
After about two and a half years in the organization of the game, the attacker and Mario Lucia were handed over to the New Jersey Devils in February 2018 , who in return sent Viktor Lööv to Minnesota. Since he was used exclusively in the AHL with the Binghamton Devils , he decided to return to Switzerland and signed a four-year contract with Lausanne HC in March 2018 .
International
For Switzerland , Bertschy took part in the U18 Junior World Championships 2011 , the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament 2011 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2012 and 2013 .
