Career
In his youth, Petteri Lindbohm played for Helsingfors IFK in his hometown Helsinki, before moving to the youth department of Kiekko-Vantaa , for which he was active until 2010. At the beginning of the 2010/11 season, the defender joined the Espoo Blues and made his debut for their U20 in the Jr. A SM-liiga, the highest junior league in Finland, in which he scored nine scorer points and a plus / minus rating of as a rookie +14 came in 41 games. He also represented his home country at an international level for the first time after this season, when he took part in the 2011 U18 World Cup with the U18 national team, where he finished fifth with the team. After only one year in Espoo Lindbohm returned to the 2011/12 season to Helsinki back and played there from now for Jokerit in the Jr. A SM-liiga, while he returned to parallel on loan to Kiekko-Vantaa and there in the second-rate Mestis be Made professional debut. The defender was then selected in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft at 176th position by the St. Louis Blues .
At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, Lindbohm established himself in the Jokerit A-squad and made 35 appearances in the SM-liiga , so that he only returned to the U20s and Kiekko-Vantaa for a few appearances. In addition, he took part in the 2013 U20 World Cup with the Finnish U20 national team at the turn of the year , where he achieved seventh place, where he led the Suomi team as captain . After another year in Finland, which he had spent in the U20 and A-squad of Jokerit as well as on loan from Kiekko-Vantaa and Porin Ässät , Lindbohm signed an entry contract with the St. Louis Blues from the National Hockey League in March 2014 ( NHL).
Right at the beginning of the 2014/15 season, the Finn made his debut for the Blues in the NHL, where he made 23 appearances over the course of the year, mainly in their farm team , the Chicago Wolves , in the American Hockey League (AHL). Even in the following years, Lindbohm did not succeed in establishing himself permanently in the NHL squad of the Blues, so that he is primarily on the ice in the AHL. In addition, his former club, the Jokerit, was selected in the KHL Junior Draft 2016 in 117th position.
After four years in the organization of the Blues, the defender left North America and joined Lausanne HC from the Swiss National League .
