Huecco (* 1974 ; actually Iván Sevillano Pérez ) is a Spanish Latin rock musician from Plasencia .

biography

From 1994 Huecco, at that time still under the name Ivanh , was the singer of Sugarless . In ten years the rock band released three albums, of which they sold over 40,000 copies in Spain. Not only were they successful in their homeland, but they also performed in Latin America all the way up to the United States.

In 2005 Huecco started his own business. He borrowed the name from an old Indian reservation in El Paso . Huecco is also often referred to as a band, although it's more of a one-man project. Musically, Huecco mixes American rock with Latin American music such as rumba and reggaetón, but also Spanish flamenco . He himself describes the mixture as "Rumbatón".

The Spaniard was able to win the Warner label for his debut album entitled Huecco . It was produced by KC Porter , who has already won several Grammys for his work in Latin . The album reached the top 20 in its homeland and was awarded gold (40,000 copies sold). The song Pa 'mi guerrera , which was extremely popular as a ringtone and made it double platinum, was particularly successful .

Huecco's second album is called Assalto and was released in April 2008. Again it was produced by a multiple Grammy winner with Thom Russo . With Reina de los angelotes he again had a very successful song that became the most played video on Spanish music channels . He also achieved success outside the Spanish-speaking area for the first time. In the summer of 2008 the song became a radio hit in Germany. However, he had the greater success in his home country with the duet Se acabaron las lágrimas with the singer Hanna . Together they came in second place in Spain.

Huecco's new album Dame vida was announced for June 2011 . With the single of the same name, he had a top 10 hit in the Spanish charts and the album also reached a placement in the top 10.
