Huggins is an impact crater south of the lunar front , southeast of Mare Nubium and southwest of Miller Crater . The eastern part is covered by Nasireddin , in the west Huggins touches the edge of Orontius . The crater is badly eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British astronomer William Huggins .
