Orontius is an impact crater south of the lunar front , south of Mare Nubium , northeast of Tycho crater and west of Nasireddin . The crater is very heavily eroded and the crater rim is superimposed several times (in the east of Huggins and in the west of Sasserides A ), which is why it is inconspicuous despite a diameter of over 90 kilometers.
