effect

Dyserinck has rendered outstanding services to imagology , today also known as historical hermeneutics , in comparative literary studies, in particular to the topic of national image formation or the image of the other country , which is now outsourced to the research areas of European studies and popular psychology . He is also the editor of the Aachen contributions to comparative literature , co-editor of the Amsterdam publications on language and literature, and co-editor of the Studia Imagologica .

Dyserinck is a member of the European-oriented "think tank" Libérales .

Several specialist publications refer to Dyserinck's never published anthology Imagologie. Collected essays on research into ethnic stereotype formation (supposedly Bouvier, Bonn 1993), which underlines Dyserinck's importance in this field of research.
