Hugo Hoffmann (lawyer)

Hugo Hoffmann (born January 19, 1838 in Klein Schmorgau, Wohlau district ; † 1893 ) was a German lawyer and parliamentarian.

Life

Hoffmann studied law at the Universities of Breslau and Berlin . In 1856 he became a member of the Corps Marchia Breslau . In 1857 he joined the Corps Normannia Berlin . After graduating, he became a lawyer in Friedberg in der Neumark in 1869 . In 1871 he was appointed district judge in Haynau . In 1873 he resigned from the civil service, but revised this decision and returned to the judiciary as a public prosecutor in Liegnitz . Most recently he was President of the Regional Court in Braunsberg . From 1877 to 1879 Hoffmann sat as a member of the constituency of Liegnitz 5 (Haynau-Goldberg, Liegnitz) in the Prussian House of Representatives . In the first two sessions of the 13th legislative period he belonged to the parliamentary group of the National Liberal Party . He was non-attached in the last of the three sessions. He was the owner of Gut Oberschützendorf in Liegnitz.
