Hugo Kaeker
Hugo Kaeker (born May 9, 1864 in Gartz (Oder) , † October 18, 1940 in Stettin ) was a German school teacher and writer .
Live and act
Kaeker lived in Stettin from 1885 , where he worked as a school principal from 1890 and as a high school principal from 1913. During the First World War he volunteered with the Red Cross in Belgium and France in 1914 .
As a writer he published, among other things, poems , some of which were set to music by the Szczecin singer and composer Philipp Gretscher . Together with his colleague from Szczecin, Hermann Ploetz , he published three small selected volumes in 1925, “Pommersche Heimatdichtung”. Four contributions by Kaeker were broadcast in 1926 under the title "Pommersche Heide, Pommersches Moor" on the Stettin station.
