Hugo Magnus (doctor)
Hugo Magnus (born May 31, 1842 in Neumarkt in Silesia , † April 15, 1907 in Breslau ) was a German ophthalmologist in Breslau.
Life
Magnus lived in Wroclaw all his life. After studying medicine and receiving his doctorate in 1867, he turned to ophthalmology . In 1869 he became a corps bow bearer of the Lusatia Breslau . He completed his habilitation in 1873 and was a private lecturer for ten years . He was appointed associate professor in 1883 and later to go. Medical Council appointed. He studied color perception and color blindness extensively and wrote a two-volume textbook on eye injuries. He devoted himself more and more to the history of medicine and worked together with Karl Sudhoff , the most important medical historian at the time.
