Ingrid Petzold

Ingrid Gertraude Frieda Petzold (born March 21, 1951 in Leipzig ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1994 to 2004 she was a member of the state parliament of Saxony .

Life

Petzold attended the Polytechnic High School in Leipzig and then completed vocational training as a mechanical draftswoman. In 1970 she began to study engineering for technical cybernetics at the University of Leipzig , which she finished in 1976. She then worked as a project engineer in the Leipzig design and engineering office until 1980. After that she was a housewife. In March 1990 Petzold became a member of the CDU . She was a founding member of the women's union of the CDU Saxony and its deputy chairwoman.

In October 1994 she entered the state parliament of Saxony via the CDU's state list, to which she also belonged in the third electoral term until 2004.
