Hugo Neumann

Hugo Neumann (born September 1, 1882 in Glockstein ; † January 3, 1971 in Konstanz ) was a German politician ( center ).

Live and act

After attending grammar school in Rößel , Neumann studied law and political science at the universities of Freiburg and Breslau . In 1905 he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Salia Wroclaw. From October 1908 to October 1909 he was a member of Grenadier Regiment No. 11 in Breslau. As a reserve officer in Infantry Regiment No. 23, Neumann took part in the First World War as a company officer in Landwehr Infantry Regiment No. 22 from August 1914 . After being at the Battle of Tarnawla on September 7, 1914seriously wounded, he was discharged from the army. He has now returned to his profession as a lawyer. In 1915 he became a court assessor, in 1920 a government assessor in the government of Wroclaw, then a government assessor in the High Presidium in Wroclaw.

In 1921 Neumann was appointed district administrator of the Rößel district, later he became district administrator in the Rößel district .

From December 1924 to September 1930 Neumann sat as a member of the Center Party in the Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 1 (East Prussia). In 1933 he was a member of the provincial parliament of the province of East Prussia .
