Hugo Norberto Castillo

Hugo Norberto Castillo (born March 17, 1971 in Capioví , province of Misiones ), also known as Misionero in a variant of his home province , is a former Argentine football player who mainly played in midfield and now works as a coach.

career

Castillo began his career with CD Guaraní Antonio Franco in Posadas , based in the province of Misiones , with whom he was under contract until 1993. He then moved to the capital Buenos Aires- based Club Deportivo Español , where Castillo completed 81 point games and scored 25 goals over the next three years.

In the summer of 1996, Castillo moved to the Mexican league , where he played for four clubs until the end of his active career in late 2005. He spent his first year and a half in Mexico with CF Monterrey and then was under contract with Atlas Guadalajara for four years, making it the longest station of his professional career. At the beginning of 2002, Castillo moved to Club America , with whom he won the championship title at Torneo Verano in 2002 and with which he was under contract until mid-2004. In 2005, Castillo ended his active career with Santos Laguna .

In 1995 Castillo played his only international game for the Argentine national football team .

After his active career, Castillo entered the coaching business and has been in charge of the Atlas Guadalajara junior division since 2013 . After Gustavo Matosas was fired , Castillo briefly looked after the first team at Club Atlas as an interim coach in November 2015.
