Hugo Paul

Hugo Paul (born October 27, 1882 in Dresden ; † August 1, 1957 there ) was a German politician (DNVP).

Live and act

After attending the community school, Hugo Paul was trained at the state building school in Dresden. In addition, he also took part in lectures at the Technical University in the same city as an intern. From 1910 to 1918 Paul ran an independent construction business in Dresden.

From 1914 to 1918 Paul took part in the First World War, in which he was deployed in France. In 1919 Paul was dismissed from the German army as a sergeant, decorated with the Iron Cross II. Class and the Friedrich August Medal . He now took a position as a teacher at the State Building School in Dresden. He also became a member of the Dresden Insurance Office and board member of the Association of German Unification Offices in Berlin. He also took over the post of second chairman of the Saxon House Owners Association. In 1921 he became a city councilor in Dresden.

From May to December 1924, Hugo Paul was a member of the DNVP in the German Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 28 (Dresden-Bautzen).
