Hugo Sánchez Guerrero (born May 8, 1981 in Monterrey , Nuevo León ) is a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

Life

Sánchez began his career as a professional football player with his "home club" UANL Tigres , where he was under contract between 2000 and the end of 2006 and later again between the beginning of 2008 and mid-2009. In between he played for Monarcas Morelia for the entire 2007 calendar year . Since 2009 he has been under contract with Jaguares de Chiapas in the Primera División, but has been on loan to the second division UAT Correcaminos for two years since July 2011 , with whom he won the Apertura 2011.

Sánchez made his debut in the Mexican Primera División in a sixty-minute deployment in a Clásico Regiomontano held on September 2, 2000, which arch rivals CF Monterrey decided 1-0 in his favor. It was his only use in the Torneo Invierno 2000 , the first half of the 2000/01 season . In the second half of the same season, the Torneo Verano 2001 , Sánchez came to a total of seven missions, but they were so short that he only played a total of one hour in this round. His longest appearance in this period took place on February 14, 2001 in the 1: 4 defeat at CD Irapuato , when Sánchez came on in the 64th minute and five minutes later his first goal (to the interim 1: 3) in the highest Mexican league scoring. He made his first appearance over the full distance of ninety minutes on October 6, 2001 in a 4-0 away win against Necaxa .

National team

Between October 15, 2003 (0-2 against Uruguay) and December 14, 2005 (2-0 against Hungary), Sánchez Guerrero completed a total of twelve international appearances for the Mexican national team . He also belonged to the squad while in Germany the discharged 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup , where he was however not used. He was also in the squad of the Mexican Olympic selection 2004 , where he was also without use.
