Hugo Stiglitz (also Hugo Stieglitz ; born August 28, 1940 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican actor , film director , producer and screenwriter .

Life

As an actor, he was a star in Mexico in the 1970s and 1980s and was a preferred actor in the Cardona family of directors ( René Cardona Sr. and René Cardona Jr. ) in their action-packed adventure and horror films. He has also made several films in Hollywood ( Under the Volcano ) and Italy ( The Zombie Attack ). His filmography lists over 250 films and television engagements as an actor. Since the late 1990s, it has mostly been on view in inexpensive direct-to-video goods.

He has also directed several times; he also produced several of his films and worked as his own screenwriter.

The director Quentin Tarantino named the fictional deserted Austrian sergeant of the Wehrmacht, played by Til Schweiger , after him in his film Inglourious Basterds .
