Hugo Wehrfritz

Franz Hugo Wehrfritz (born August 22, 1806 near Kriftel , † December 19, 1888 in Hofheim am Taunus ) was a German paper manufacturer and member of parliament.

Wehrfritz was the son of the paper manufacturer Adam Hugo Franz Wehrfritz (* December 16, 1773 in the Krifteler paper mill; † April 23, 1838 there) and his wife Maria Margaretha née Seelig (* August 1, 1778 in Hofheim; † November 2, 1844) . Wehrfritz, who was a Catholic denomination, married Friderike, born Marchand, on July 14, 1833 in Hofheim (born August 3, 1808 in Eltville; † May 20, 1956 in Kriftel), the daughter of Dr. med. Anton Marchand.

Wehrfritz was a paper manufacturer on the inherited Kriftel paper mill. He took liberal positions and was sentenced in 1835 to nine months in prison for membership in a political association for the distribution of seditious writings.

After the March Revolution he was from 1848 to 1851 a member of the Estates Assembly of the Estates of the Duchy of Nassau . He was elected in constituency X (Königstein / Höchst).
