Huldar Breiðfjörð

Huldar Breiðfjörð (German transcription Huldar Breidfjörd , born June 21, 1972 ) is an Icelandic writer , journalist and screenwriter .

Life

Huldar graduated from the University of Iceland with a degree in literature and a Masters in Film Production from New York University . He has written several screenplays for Icelandic films, including Niceland (Population. 1,000,002) by Friðrik Þór Friðriksson , for which he won the 2004 Icelandic Edda Film Award in the category "Screenplay of the Year". His travel novels Góðir Íslendingar and Færeyskur dansur were also published in German. He lives in Reykjavík and in Flateyri in western Iceland .
