Humanos was a Portuguese Pop - band .

history

On the 20th anniversary of the death of the pop musician António Variações , well-known Portuguese pop musicians formed a group in 2004 to set unpublished pieces by Variações to music. He had left numerous notes and tapes in a box, with whole pieces or fragments of songs that he had not yet published until his death. The aim of the group was now to arrange this unpublished song material and present it to the public, and thus pay tribute to the deceased artist.

The all-star group had three singers: Manuela Azevedo (singer of the band Clã ), the Fado singer Camané and David Fonseca . Furthermore, the band united musicians u. a. the groups Clã (Hélder Gonçalves) and Bunnyranch (João Cardoso).

The album that resulted from this work entered the Portuguese sales charts at number 5 when it was released at the end of 2004 and reached first place on the hit parade, in which the album was listed for 81 weeks. The band also gave a number of concerts and played at some of the biggest festivals in the country, including the Sudoeste Festival and an improvised short appearance at Super Bock Super Rock .

After the release of the live album and the live DVD in 2006, the group ended their project. The director António Ferreira made a documentary about the band project at the end of 2006.
