Bunnyranch is a Portuguese band playing garage rock with various influences from soul , blues and rock music styles.
history
After the psychobilly / garage rock band Tédio Boys dissolved , their drummer Carlos Mendes ("Kaló") founded the band in Coimbra with three other musicians . They had their first appearance there on October 19, 2001 as the opening act for Tav Falco .
Influenced by different styles, from blues to punk rock , beat and soul to psychedelic , they recorded their first EP in 2003, released on the Lux label from Coimbra. Numerous concerts followed, especially after her first album in 2005, more often in other European countries, including at the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen .
After João Cardoso joined the band as organist for Filipe Costa, the album Luna Dance was released in 2006 , which was also distributed in Canada and the USA. In 2007 the band played at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival, and went on a tour of the east coast of the United States . They recorded the songs for the first of two interrelated EPs that they released in 2008 in the Hed Studios in New York . They recorded the songs for the second EP after their return in the Portuguese Serra Vista studios, it was produced by Boz Boorer . In 2010 a new guitarist, Augusto Cardoso, came into the band, replacing André Ferrão, and a new album followed, again produced by the Polecats and Morrissey musicians.
