Centenary
The term centenary (.. From Latin centum hundred; centenarius hundredfold) on the occasion of the celebration called hundred -year anniversary of an event, a centenary .
The roots of the celebration of the century clearly lie in the ideal of the round number , historically in the papal jubilee year , which was brought into being in the Middle Ages to strengthen the church's finances and which was originally set at a hundred-year interval.
Centenar , also Zentenar , is mainly used in compound words in the German language .
