Hungrel ( Dzongkha : ཧཱ ུ ྃ ་ རལ་ ), also written Hoongrel , is one of ten Gewogs (blocks) of the Dzongkhag Paro in western Bhutan . Hungrel Gewog is in turn divided into five Chiwogs (constituencies). According to the census of 2005, people in this weight of 2016 live in 13 (according to the census of the electoral commission 16) villages or hamlets in 344 households. With an area of ​​3.6 km², Hungrel is the smallest area in the Paro district, in the center of which it is located.

In addition to the Gewog administration, state institutions have a medical advice center ( Outreach Clinic ) and an office for the development of renewable natural resources ( RNR, Renewable Natural Resource center ). The schools in the Gewog include a secondary school, a lower secondary school . The weight is completely covered by the cellular network.

Dry cultivation is the predominant form of cultivation, followed by wetland cultivation . The main crops are wheat and rice, while potatoes and apples are grown as cash crops . The livestock consists mainly of native cattle species. Dairy products are mainly produced for personal use.

In total there are 11 Buddhist temples ( Lakhangs ) in this Gewog , which are state, community or private property.
