The Hunter Glacier is an approximately 11 km long glacier in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . It flows from the center of the Lanterman Range in the Bowers Mountains in a westerly direction to the Rennick Glacier , which it reaches on Mount Lugering .
The area was mapped through United States Geological Survey and United States Navy aerial surveys from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1970 after Lieutenant Commander William Gregory Hunter (1921-2003), staff officer and head of the occupation of McMurdo Station in the winter of 1964.
