Huub Smit (born July 16, 1978 in Eindhoven , Netherlands ) is a Dutch actor .
Life
Smit attended the Christiaan Huygens College in Eindhoven during his school days . He grew up in Eindhoven and the surrounding towns of Best and Son en Breugel . After finishing school, he studied fine arts at Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten with a focus on theater and drama . From 2003 he started his career. At first he worked for various theater productions. This was followed by extra roles in various smaller productions - for example for training and teaching videos. In his private life , Smit took part in international inline skating contests. He became known through the role of Richard Batsbak in the television series New Kids , in the film New Kids Turbo adapted from it and its successor New Kids Nitro .
