Hydrometeorology

The Hydrometeorology is a branch of meteorology and hydrology . It deals with the cycle of water in the atmosphere , i.e. with evaporation , water vapor transport and precipitation , as well as its interactions with the hydrosphere . It is of particular importance in the prediction of flood situations in rivers, in the water supply of human metropolitan areas and in the irrigation of arid areas.
