Hyndland is an upscale residential area in the West End of the city of Glasgow , Scotland .
geography
Hyndland is located in the west of Glasgow, next to the residential areas of Broomhill, Dowanhill, Kelvinside and Partickhill, and is part of the so-called West End of the city, a popular area with above-average real estate prices. Mainly members of the upper middle class live there.
politics
Until 2008 Hyndland was a Ward of the Unitary Authority City of Glasgow , which elected a member to the City Council. In 2008, however, Hyndland was incorporated into the new Ward Hillhead, which elects four members to the council.
